Rainy Fall Fling Successful

Although the weather was hardly suitable for an outdoor breakfast, it didn't prevent a small Coalition contingent from enjoying the morning at the Garden Plots. Attired with raincoat and vest the semi-annual West St. Parkway cleanup took place and as always turned up some unusual things. Items people had littered the roadway and adjacent trees with included the ever present old spare tire, a backpack filled with clothing which a toad had decided to call its home and a Chicago Cubs lawnchair. No shortage of fast food wrappers either.
Hopefully sun will prevail at next April's Earth Day Event at the Garden Plots.
