Changes Coming for Intersection of Emerald and West St?

The city of Naperville will introduce the alternative improvement options for the intersections of West - Emerald - Osler during a public open house from 6 to 8 p.m. June 11 in Meeting Room A of the Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle St.

    The recent traffic study conducted at the West St. entrance to the Garden Plots showed that area traffic was not so heavy as to cause an unsafe condition for Central students who may soon use new athletic fields at the location. However, the study evidently did not put an end to these concerns, and to this end several concepts developed during the nearly 2-year long Caroline Martin Mitchell process will be discussed. Any changes at Emerald and West will directly affect residents of Hobson West and the West Highlands, and could shape the very future of the entire West St. corridor.
